Allianz BroadBand Connection on Ubuntu

Just Right Click on Ethernet Connections(the monitor screen generally appearing on the Gnome Panel) and click 'Edit Connections'. A new window gets opened. Select Auto Eth0 and click on Edit. Go to IPv4 settings and put the Method to Manual. Then put your IP address,Mask,Gateway and DNS server(the preferred DNS server) and then click on OK. And Bingo!!! your connection is established!!!!
Now open Mozilla and browse all the way!!!!

Connecting BSNL broadband in Linux

The BSNL Broadband uses PPPOE (Point to Point Protocol Over Ethernet). Therefore, if you can set this up in your Linux system, you can easily use your broadband connection.
And it is indeed very safe to access the internet from Linux as it is not so easily infested by viruses as is a Windows system.

Basic requirement: Connect your modem with ethernet cable and not with USB (because for broadband, USB stands for Unsuitable for Broadband) :-

to start the connection:
sudo pon dsl-provider

to stop the connection:

This process should work for any connection using the PPPOE.

Invention of Saccharin

  The year was 1879. A chemist was trying to do something new and interesting with coal tar in his lab. After a productive day at the lab, he went home and something strange happened.
   He noticed the breads he was eating tasted particularly sweet. He asked his wife if she had done anything interesting to the breads, but she hadn't. They tasted normal to her. Fahlberg realized the taste must have been coming from his hands -- which he forgot to wash. The next day he went back to the lab and started tasting his work until he found the sweet spot.   Thus, none other than Constantin Fahlberg invented saccharin , an artificial sweetener which we all appriciate while eating....

   Two friends went to the bazar to sell some mangoes. Each had 30 mangoes for sale. The first one sold his at 2 for Rs. 10 and the other at 3 for Rs. 10. When all mangoes were sold the former had made in all Rs. 150 and the latter Rs. 100 a total of Rs. 250.
   The next day when they set out for the bazar, they decided to sell their mangoes together and sold all the sixty mangoes at the rate of 5 for Rs. 20 (2 for Rs. 10 + 3 for Rs. 10).
   But when all the fruits were sold out, they surprisingly found that they had only Rs. 240 in all. They could not understand where the other Rs. 10 went and started accusing each other and began fighting.
   Ratul, a student of class VI, was passing by and heard about the Rs. 10 mystery!! He came forward and clarified where was the missing money.
